Besides the fact that Flash is closed and proprietary, has major technical drawbacks, and doesn’t support touch based devices, there is an even more important reason we do not allow Flash on iPhones, iPods and iPads…

Right, you actually purchase the two extra tables from the app store so, it is actually an iPod app with a big screen interface. The only bummer is the iPod, iPad and this iPod/Mac hybrid are all separate purchases. This includes separate purchases for each table within the app except for the iPad version which includes all three.
see i wouldn’t so much mind paying for the seperate tables – i own everything ever made for Zen f’rex. but you know, if i had $100 a month to spare i’d already *have* an iphone by now…
You know, I was just thinking the other day if I had an iPhone instead of an iPod, would I play games on it as much? The answer I believe would be no and the reasoning is that I sort of have a thing for using a phone only as a phone and wanting it to always be charged and ready for calls or a text and such. I’m sure I would love to have an iPhone but, I’d also want an iPod which I would use more for the gaming and music elements.
(semi-related iPad rant) One thing that I’m sure to bring up when we cut our Portable Gaming Show is how the amount of time I’ve spent gaming on my iPad is most likely more than the past years or so on my iPod. It’s a big investment, no doubt but, the apps (not just games) that I’ve been able to download for the iPad have more than paid for the device. As an interface to other systems I would have paid over 2 grand for the same type of break-out boxes. If you’ve head complaining about the product, I believe it is from folks that cannot see the full scope of its potential.

Why did I leave the Boy Scouts 18 years ago?
Because Boy Scout cookies are horrible. I would gladly wear a skirt for some thin mint cookies.

Here’s one you wouldn’t expect from the Boy Scouts: a badge for playing video games and learning about ESRB ratings. Read this blog post by Don Reisinger on The Digital Home.

This changes my reviews of the iPod versions of these games. The App is free and the Mac version is a free download. You get one table for free and then can unlock the other tables for 2.99 a pop. You control all the action displayed on your Mac with your iPod/iPhone or iPad. http://www.gameprom.com/thepinball [...]
