Worth noting: anyone with a developer account can download an up to date compiled project of this and install t. Since it costs $100 a year to be a developer that’s sort of a pricy option, but it exists.

iPad owners: someone snuck a version of MAME into the app store. There is no way this will last so get it while it’s hot. Note that you’ll have to use a third party utility to actually load ROMs into the thing. Also, the ROMsets you want are for 0.37b5, not the new hotness.

I played so many games that I wpuld consider five star games this past year but I have to pick Skyrim.
Ummmmmm…….Skyriim.
Mario 3D land. The only game this year where absolutely everything clings together perfectly.

Playing Shadow Era. Fermium card game similar to MTG. Simple system with some good strategic depth, but it is really, really slow to earn cards for free.

IPad only MTG style game called shadow realm is a worthwhile download. You get one deck for free, and can buy decks or boosters with real money or individual cards with in game currency.

My brother let me borrow his 3DS for the last two weeks.Its a pretty sweet little device and with the recent price drop I would totally pick one up if I had more time on my hands.

PS3 owning fans of racing and/or crashing cars: If you don’t yet have Burnout Paradise, check out the PS3 Store > Games > Bundles. Don’t ask me why, but Burnout Paradise, the all-cars unlock DLC, and the Boost Cards DLC can all be yours for the low low cost of two lattes at Starbucks ($8). Note that if you get the game from the Games tab rather than from the Bundles tab it will cost $20 and come with no DLC. Why this is so I don’t know, but take advantage!
Not a big fan of racing games but for 8$ I couldn’t pass this up. However with all the cars already unlocked, it feels like there isn’t anything to work towards. That dampens the experience for me quite a bit.
Ah – but the simple solution to that is to not install the all cards unlock extra!
