I just missed the Best Buy sale price, there were folks actually getting it for $9.99 if their store allowed for the extra $10 Gamer Club Coupon to be applied as well.

I love living in the free world. I’ve always given my work away, I’m not ashamed of it so, I put it out there. I also realize (from the sad personal experience) that’s not how you can make money and survive however, even though I love the challenge and freedom to enjoy emulation, I still put my money down for the legit re-releases. It’s fuzzy ethics but, much better than blowing a stop sign, ignoring speed limits and other such transgressions.
I also find that I am more attracted to building my emulation library and front end more than I am in actually playing the ROMs. It’s almost like the chase being better than the catch and the greater the challenge to make it perfect, the bigger the payoff for me.

If you don’t mind skirting legal issues, ThinkGeek will sell you a pocket sized emulator for NES, SNES, Genesis, and GBA games – with 4 gigs of memory AND an SD card slot.
Actually @theeternal was going to review one of these on an early episode of the show. Perhaps we’ll touch on it a bit on a break-out episode, with tact of course.
