There’s a new WWE game on the iphone, following up on the risible version of Smackdown v Raw. that came out and was pulled over quality issues. It’s called Superstar Slingshot, which you may guess means it’s… an Angry Birds clone.
Can sort of see that might not be a terrible idea, but all the characters in the game handle exactly the same, there’s no Big Show bowling ball ability or acrobatic Mysterio move you can call in or whatever. It looks very low rent, there’s not much of it, and it’s twice the price of Angry Birds. Which means it’s hard to understand why it exists. Except to make idiots like me impulse buy it. Damn. Not nearly as good as, say, Crush Hour was. Hey, with the PG direction, where’s my damn WWE Kartoon Kart game anyway?
