Which game company would you sue for making a game which has taken a huge chunk of your life?

A federal judge is allowing a negligence lawsuit to proceed against the publisher of the online virtual-world game Lineage II, amid allegations that a
Well that is just stupid. It’s not Mcdonald’s fault that your fat, its not the developer’s fault that you spend you whole life playing an mmo.
I guess you only have to pass tests to become a judge (and win votes), you don’t really need to have any grasp on reality.
I’d love to sue the judge if only being stupid was a crime. Can the judge be found negligent of not being a very good judge?
This is the same old distracting bullshit that impedes our progress on issues that should really matter. Yes, I take particular offense when this type of lunacy infiltrates and is endorsed by those elected to ensure fair and rational treatment within our country.
I totally agree that this judge should have his gavel taken away. My concern is if this stupid lawsuit brings back a judgement for the plantiff, how long before people begin suing companies for other reasons (Such as if a game was terrible, or it promised a character that it didn’t deliver, or a game wasn’t released on a promised game date)? Thus is the sue happy times we live in unfortunately.
If that happened Lionhead should just stop now.
Peter Moleneaux better be looking into ways he can sow his mouth shut.

88 million? Think of the payment plan one would have to set up to pay off that judgement.

The company Scapegaming was making a nice profit running a private World of WarCraft server, until Blizzard sued and won $88 million. Yes, that’s a ton of money, but it was also the minimum amount possible, given that the defendant never showed up in court.

Really? People paid 25 dollars for a special horse in World of Warcraft? I would only spend 25 dollars on a mount in WOW if it was Holy Cow, but maybe that is just me?
This is the reason i refuse to try WOW. I know i’d almost certainly love it. But it costs ridiculous amounts of money and people seem to get in too deep.
exclusivity is a giant thing in MMOs. Del Taco recently ran a thing with the star trek online where you got a free shuttle if you bought some particular taco meal. the shuttle does nothing – it just proves that you were around early enough in the life of the game to get it.

Capcom with Street Fighter, Capcom vs. SNK, Mega Man, Rival Schools, Marvel vs. Capcom 2,Devil May Cry, and Viewtiful Joe.
Bioware. I have played most of their RPG’s multiple times…
Oh Blizzard for sure…World of Warcrack is responsible for me wasting the last 4 years worth of free time. Damn you Blizzard I missed out on so many great titles.
