The Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning demo was fun. Not a big fan of the art style but since it takes place in the ’faelands’ I’ll give the fairy tale look a pass. The combat was pretty fun, I dug the stealth… this one may be worth picking up. But, I’m so busy with SWTOR I dunno if I’ll end up getting it.

I have now tried all the characters and I liked the Siren and Brick the best. Their two powers won me some fights on their own early on. The bird and the turret were just kinda there.

I grabbed the Game of the Year edition of Borderlands. Now I’m hooked. Blew all of Saturday playing it. I’m trying the Siren, I dig her power. How are the other characters? I’m intrigued by the Hunter and his bird but it sounds like kind of not that strong an ability.
I love playing the Brick. If you own it for 360, let me know if you need help with Mad Moxxi. It’s the only achevements that im missing
Mordecai’s bird kicks ass once you level him up sufficiently.
Especially when the bird is on fire, hits five different enemies, and drops cash each hit.

Brick’s power is the worst I think, once you get him to the higher levels the damage it puts out is pathetic. Its definitely better to have him focus on launchers. Siren is just a monster.

I started it but then I ran into LA Noire used at a local shop. Ding!

Do they have this Mars table over in PS3-land?
(PS3-land is that little country entirely surrounded by South Africa, I think.)

I agree, Iron Man’s layout design is one of the worst from Zen Pinball.

Oh, that’s the table you’re talking about? Yes, we do have this table in PS3-land (accurately described.) And yes, of the Zen Pinball lot, Mars definitely gets the least burn but Iron Man is worse in my opinion.
Digital Pinball huh? ….we will see about this.
Oh no.

I was kind of hoping to play the Agency… although it was for the PS3 so I guess it’s just as well. Now I don’t need to buy a new chunk of hardware!

That table owns. My friend Tim and I used to hit up an arcade that had it back in college. I’d love to get a chance to play it again!

Anyone get WWE All Stars? I’m torn. Do I want it? I haven’t gotten a wresting game in like 5 years!
I want it but I havent had much time for games as of late.I have a pile of games I am already working on playing…I will get All Stars eventually.
I’ve got no one to play with, and there doesn’t look like enough game here to justify buying for the single player campaign. might rent it if i have folks coming over.
I bought it. While I like the over the top moves and chunky characters the gameplay can be quite frustrating at times, especially when you’re in a Triple Threat or Fatal Four Way match. Some of the signature grapple moves take a second or two to ”get going” during which time one of the other characters can hit you and you lose the move (you build up a meter which is broken up into three sections, each full one allowing you to perform a signature move).
Another frustration is when an opponent is targeting you and goes to the top rope to do a move because you can’t avoid it and have to reply on pot luck with the reversal button.
Let’s not forget about the fact that you have to buy certain characters right from day of release as well. I actually looked for these on the Xbox marketplace yesterday and couldn’t find them. This annoys me a lot as it is worse than releasing them a couple of months after the main game under the pretence of ”Oh, look what we’ve been working on”. It’s a blatant cash in/rip off that nearly stopped me from buying it. If it was a low price release and I could then choose to buy additional characters then I wouldn’t mind.
I also had a code to get Ted DiBiase Sr & Jr but it said that they will become active once a game update is done ”before the end of April” (or words to that effect).
I do like the visual effects that they’ve done like ”neon trails” for signature moves and finishers and a ”shockwave” effect when you hit a big power move. There’s also some well timed sound effects too, such as the Bionic Man sound.
Overall – Good fun but occasionally frustrating. I’d give it 8/10 because when it’s fun it’s really good fun.
Sorry, I pretty much wrote a review in a reply :-/

Since DCUO kind of shriveled up and died, I had time to finish Dragon Age: Origins. Now to go through the DLC campaigns… I hear Awakenings is underwhelming. We’ll see…

I’m not sure if I like it either. I actually found it kind of hard to see when I played it, characters don’t stand out well enough. Looks like the character building might be fun. I like that you can dual-wield a sword and a pistol in swashbuckling fashion, but I suspect it’s not really a good way to play. I think I’m gonna skip it.

I left. Screw Gotham.
Go to Coast City.
The obvous choice is Keystone City. Look up The Rouges. Those are some cool cats.
Those nuances are the best part of the game to me.

Par for the course. I freed up budget by quitting City of Heroes.
In reply to - Eric Alexander posted an update: So, DC Universe Online… this is a good game. Plays like Crackdown, you get mission briefings from like… Batman. Or Oracle, or whoever. I thought the demo was okay. It felt like a strange hybrid of Fable and Skyrim.
