I first got into Elder Scrolls with morrowind. Wouldn’t even be able to count how many hours i put into that game, or oblivion either for that matter.

I’m having the same problem, I want to like it so bad but there isn’t anything about that really captivates me. It doesn’t really give you any reason to care about what happens next.

In reply to - TheDean! posted an update: So i just recently completed the Alan Wake. Strange game, i found it very hard to get in to it at all. I was glad it was over to be perfectly honest. It had no quality that made me want to keep playing at all, hence i played it rarely. It was [...] · View

Not a big fan of racing games but for 8$ I couldn’t pass this up. However with all the cars already unlocked, it feels like there isn’t anything to work towards. That dampens the experience for me quite a bit.

In reply to - 2πr posted an update: PS3 owning fans of racing and/or crashing cars: If you don’t yet have Burnout Paradise, check out the PS3 Store > Games > Bundles. I tried so hard to get into the first Witcher, but It couldn’t keep my interest. The combat was clunky, unsatisfying and sloppy. The voice acting was god awful and it was really slow on my computer, for reasons I couldn’t ever figure out.I realize the game was originally made in another language (polish I think), but it just took me out of the experience so much when most of the characters sound like they were voiced by the Ogres from Warcraft II.

The general consensus was that its a solid enough game, but its rather short for an RPG and a bit underwhelming. I played the hell out of the first game, and the second was was pretty good but not nearly as engrossing, so I was kinda disappointed after playing the demo for this one

One of my biggest problems is that you can’t create a character, you pick from 4 pre made characters who are fully voiced and have their own back-stories. I’m really into customization so that’s a big thing for me if that is left out. I want to make my own character, not play as someone the developers came up with.

The combat was decent, a little clunky but it starts to feel better after you get used to the control. The voice acting, especially for the unimportant npcs seems to have taken a turn for the worse; some of the characters even feel like their lines were spoken by google translate or something, Also, even for someone who has played the previous 2 titles in the series, the story is very convoluted and needlessly complex. I’ll probably pick it up once it drops to around 20$, but I’m not paying full price based on what the demo showed me.

I truly believe any gamer worth his salt needs to start a series from the beginning. The story will make a lot more sense and you will feel more invested in it if you start from the first one. Be warned though, the first one is pretty difficult.

Saints row encompasses everything they forgot to put into GTA IV: fun. IV was pretty lacking for one of the most anticipated games of this console generation, the game was solid, the physics were superb, but they forgot to have fun with it, put too much time into making cars that drove like they had a walrus sitting on the hood. Saints row 3 looks to be as big of an improvement on 2 as 2 was to the first one, however with all the new ridiculous gameplay changes I hope they don’t cut down on the story.

When I was a kid I had to do chores to earn video game time. I also had to play outside, something I’m sure some kids today have never experienced

I’m pretty much a mark for anything made by Bethesda, so there’s plenty of bias on my side as well. Same goes for Bioware.

In reply to - Noel Malenosky posted an update: Somehow looking at the new interface and gameplay elements they made in Skyrim doesn’t make excited for the game. Perhaps because it’s made by Bethesda. I believe my bias is showing again– · View
